Stuart McClure, co-founder of LovetheSales.com, says, “Now that face coverings are mandatory in many situations across the globe, it is encouraging to see celebrities setting an example to their fans. Whether they are opting for a fashion-forward mask or favour a functional surgical mask, celebrities are picking up the mantle to spread the word of COVID safety as a public service.

The data proves that we are influenced by celebrities' choices and if we are searching for and buying masks after seeing our favourite stars wearing them, that can only be a good thing!”

Celebrity fashion stylist, Jessie Stein, adds, “Celebrities are well known for influencing what we wear but now they are taking up the more important job of guiding our decisions when it comes to staying safe. Their ‘maskdrobes’ are potentially far more impactful than government messaging, especially for young people who trust their decisions.

Since it looks like we are going to be wearing face masks for the foreseeable future, it is not surprising that some celebrities are turning to more aesthetically pleasing masks. Face coverings are becoming a fashion accessory in their own right! Not only are celebrities encouraging us to wear a mask in order to keep safe they are also showing us that we can still be on-trend at the same time.”
