Artificial intelligence has been used for the first time to analyse the planet’s top Instagrammers and the clothing they wear in their most popular shots. Tens of thousands of images from 2020 were analysed by the unique computer programme to provide the most accurate and extensive analysis of the top brands on the platform.

The data reveals some interesting front runners among the influencers’ favourites, only a select few brands were really popular with both sexes - Champion, Adidas and Nike saw the most follower love among street and sportswear fans - while luxury brands: Balenciaga and Gucci were huge community favourites.

AI identified Moschino as the most popular overall womenswear brand on Instagram, white T-Shirt dresses drove huge numbers of likes and are the trend of 2020.
